2009-05-18 15.39.32

I wrote an howto install an Asrock ION 330HT-BD from scratch.
It boots into XBMC in under 30 seconds.

Install XBMCLive 9.11 on the Asrock ION 330HT-BD
============================================================
v1.0 20100517 First release

Boot on the XBMCLive 9.11-CD (http://www.dennis.se/downloads/Asrock-ION330HT-BD/xbmclive9.11/xbmc-9.11-live-repack.iso).
Choose "Install XBMCLive to disk".
Choose language.
Choose "Guided - use whole disk".
Enter xbmc on name, username and password.

(installation finishes, XBMC starts)

Exit XBMC on the icon down to the left.
Login as xbmc with the password xbmc.
Enter "sudo -s" to become root.

Now the Ethernet cable need to be connected and it need a connection to the Internet.

Enter "wget http://www.dennis.se/downloads/Asrock-ION330HT-BD/xbmclive9.11/install.sh".
Enter "sh install.sh".

(reboot when the script tells you to)

You need to configure the sound settings in XBMC as follows:

Audio output = Digital
Audio output device = custom
Custom audio device = plug:both
Passthrough output device = custom
Custom passthrough device = plug:receiver
Downmix multichannel audio to stereo = Markerad

If your output unit does not support DTS and/or Dolby Digital you need to uncheck those lines.
